EBU CME/CPD accreditation system
Let’s make a mark
Enhancing the value and legitimacy of educational activities
Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities ensure that urologists maintain and enhance their professional knowledge and skills.
Accredited CME activities are:
- Valuable: Support continuous improvement in medical practice.
- Essential: Often required to maintain medical licensure and certification.
- Beneficial: Strengthen healthcare institutions through professional growth.
- Attractive: Draw participants from across Europe and beyond.
By maintaining high educational standards today, we ensure the value and legitimacy of medical education for tomorrow.
For today & tomorrow
MAINTAIN TODAY, ENHANCE TOMORROW
The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) promotes quality patient care through the continuous improvement of specialist education. To support this mission, the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) was established.
UEMS-EACCME accreditation is a registered trademark confirming that a CME activity or e-learning material meets rigorous standards for objectivity, educational value, and didactic excellence.
Together
partnership
In 2004, the European Board of Urology (EBU) and the European Association of Urology (EAU) established the European Urology-Accredited Continuing Medical Education (EU-ACME) programme to enhance Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) across Europe.
Based on the UEMS/EBU framework, EU-ACME provides a structured and efficient accreditation system, supporting urologists in managing their educational activities while ensuring high standards of quality and professionalism. The EU-ACME Office oversees all administrative and logistical aspects of accreditation:
- Enable urologists to track and manage their educational achievements.
- Support associations in implementing CME/CPD credit systems.
- Offer providers an intuitive, web-based platform for accreditation.
